Innovation clinics

The Mountain Bike Centre of Scotland are delighted to announce a spring series of Innovation Clinics.

If you have an idea for a cycling product and/or are considering setting up a new business in this sector then get in touch to book your place at one of the above clinics.

Each clinic will have a panel of sector experts to assist new companies starting up or existing companies wishing to launch a new cycling product. The panel will consist of representatives from a Scottish Enterprise Agency (Scottish Enterprise/Highlands and Islands Enterprise), an academic from the Mountain Bike Centre of Scotland, and a sector expert from Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland.

The format for the clinics will be as follows:

  • 10 am - 10.45 am - 1st panel
  • 11 am - 11.45 am - 2nd panel
  • 12 noon - 12.45 pm - 3rd panel
  • 2 pm - 2.45 pm - 4th panel
  • 3 pm - 3.45 pm - 5th panel

Each panel will be reserved for 1 individual and/or business to have a confidential meeting with the sector experts who will help identify the next steps in bringing your product idea to market. No idea is too big or too small.

Email us on mtb@napier.ac.uk to reserve your place.

Reasons to enter the cycling market:

It is estimated that the global market for bike products will be worth $65billion by 2025. The market for e-bikes alone could be worth $25billion by that time.

Scotland is a fantastic location for researching and developing new products. It has testing terrain and changeable weather conditions:if a product can withstand Scotland it will last anywhere in the world.
