We are delighted to open applications to our MTB Secure Storage Grant Scheme available exclusively to accommodation providers in the Aberdeenshire and Highland regions.

An essential ingredient to a fantastic cycling holiday is the standard of accommodation which is offered to cyclists. This is an exciting initiative to offer an enhanced level of secure bike storage facilities for visiting mountain bikers to these regions. Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland (DMBinS), will administer this exciting new initiative which will help accommodation providers better meet the needs of this growing market estimated to be worth upwards of £90million GVA each year in Scotland..

Funding assistance of up to £500 is available to enhance the provision of secure storage facilities for bikes. This contribution is a maximum of 50% of overall project costs to improve your mountain bike visitor experience (Costs may comprise equipment, installation, preparation, setup etc–further details and some options to help plan are found on the application from and guidance notes.

Accommodation providers who are successful in this application will be required to purchase equipment, complete installation works and submit claim paperwork by 1st March 2021 at latest. The funding assistance will then be reimbursed.
